Infection with trematode parasites is common in Saanen goats and these parasites cause damage to liver, lung and intestinal tissues in these animals.This study aimed to evaluate the ultrasonography and pathology of the liver and gall bladder of Saanen goats suffering from fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis in order used in the interpretation of results and clinical decisions.In this cross-sectional descriptive study used 300 Saanen goats with an average age of 2.7 years and a mean weight of 73.4 kg.

The histopathological results showed that there were eosinophilia remnants of hepatocytes, macrophages and lymphocytes in the migration paths of larvae.The most microscopic damages in the gallbladder included hyperemia, hyperplasia of seromucous glands, and thickening of the mucous layer.Based on the results of this study, ultrasound is a very useful diagnostic method for evaluating fascioliasis and dicrocoeliasis in Saanen goats.The findings of this study can be used ah6789-001 in the interpretation of ultrasound images and histopathology results, as well as in clinical examinations and treatment of this goat breed.
